Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic (HARC) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) values your private information and understands the need for security and trust surrounding such information. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and this privacy policy (“Policy”) is intended to describe our information collection and dissemination practices in connection with our website located at www.harcnc.org, and for clients or donors and others who visit our Clinic in person.
What Information is Protected?
We will only collect, use and disclose the information necessary for the services we provide. Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will protect all of the personal information you provide to us through our business systems and/or office visits.
Collection and Use of Information:
To operate our organization effectively, we must collect information in order to:
- Verify customer identities
- Collect billing information and preferences
- Pursue collections as needed
- Send email reminders
- Request reviews for the clinic
- Evaluate applications for employment
- Make referrals to specialists or labs
- Acknowledge and communicate with donors via email and/or standard mail
- Process donations, including recurring donations

- You become a client at our hospital
- You become a partner animal rescue group
- You represent a partner animal rescue group as a third party (eg; fosters)
- You become a donor
- You become an employee or apply for a job
- Information provided to us from reporting agencies (eg; local humane societies, public health authorities)
We and third parties that provide content or functionality on our Services may use cookies, pixel tags and similar technologies to automatically collect this information. We may also receive information about you from other sources, including through third-party services and organizations. If you access third-party services, such as Slack, Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn or other social media to share information about your service experience with others, we may collect information from these third-party services.
We comply with all applicable laws and bylaws for our veterinary practice.
If we are ordered by law to disclose information, we will have to comply with the law.
These are the sole uses of your personal information. We do not share or sell our mailing lists, and will not disclose your information in any other way without your prior consent.

Your consent is required before collecting, using or disclosing your personal information, except as required by law. Exceptions to getting your consent are uncommon, but they include police investigations, cruelty investigations, and any other situations permitted and required by law.
How Do You Provide Us with Your Consent?

- Your consent as provided by persons authorized by you to make decisions on your behalf

We may share your email and/or mailing address information with third-party vendors and service providers that help us with specialized services, including billing, payment processing, customer service, email deployment, business analytics, marketing, advertising, performance monitoring, hosting, and data processing. We take steps to prevent these third parties from using your information for any purpose other than the services they are providing.
If you access third-party services, such as Facebook, Instagram, Google, LinkedIn, or other social media, to share information about your service experience with others, these third-party services may be able to collect information about you, including information about your activity. They may notify your connections on the third-party services about your use of our services in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Accuracy
Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will make every reasonable effort to ensure your personal information is accurate, complete, and current. We appreciate your participation in updating us.
Protection
Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic uses reasonable measures to help protect information from loss, theft, misuse and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. You should understand that no data storage system or transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure. Please note that information collected by third parties may not have the same security protections as information you submit to us, and we are not responsible for protecting the security of such information. To that end, Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic shall:

- Ensure that its employees keep all personal information confidential and comply with our hospital’s security standards.

Transparency
Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will make specific information about our privacy policies and procedures available to any interested individual. Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will facilitate access to its personal information policies and procedures, including the identity of our Privacy Officer. Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will also ensure that individuals are able to gain access to their own personal information.
Individual Access to Personal Information
Harmony Animal Hospital’s pet owner clients will be informed of our personal information policy. Pet owner clients can ask to view their information for accuracy and amend it as needed. Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will respond promptly when one of our pet owner clients requests access to his or her personal information.
Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will maintain a full record of all third parties to whom personal information has been disclosed, and will make this record available to the individuals involved upon request.
Questions and Concerns Regarding Compliance with this Policy
An individual providing personal information to Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic may address any questions, concerns or complaints to the Privacy Officer. Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic will establish a procedure for processing any complaint about this personal information policy to ensure that all complaints are dealt with in an objective, fair and effective manner.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we update the Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” date above and post the new Privacy Policy. We recommend that you review the Privacy Policy regularly to stay informed of our privacy practices.
