About

Harmony Animal
Rescue Clinic

At Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic, we partner with pet rescue organizations to provide timely, affordable veterinary care, enabling the rescue of more cats and dogs. As the only non-profit 501(c)(3) clinic on the East Coast dedicated entirely to supporting cat and dog rescue groups, we focus on delivering essential outpatient services.

Harmony Animal Rescue Clinic (HARC) was established in the former location of Harmony Animal Hospital. When the hospital moved to a new facility in 2018, founders Dr. Jodi Reed and Jason Lenhardt sought a meaningful way to give back to the community that had supported them and to fulfill Dr. Jodi’s passion for helping rescue groups save more homeless cats and dogs.

In North Carolina, there are over 900 animal shelters and animal welfare organizations. All of these organizations need medical care for the homeless cats and dogs they rescue in order to help find them forever homes. Opening HARC was a timely decision with a significant impact:

The demand for affordable veterinary services continues to grow to meet the needs of these rescues, and we rely on the generosity of donors to sustain our mission.

Monetary donations are essential to help HARC continue providing low-cost and often life-saving veterinary care for rescued animals. Every contribution helps extend our reach and save more lives. Your support directly impacts the health and well-being of countless animals, giving them a second chance at life. Please consider donating to help us continue our vital work.

Mikaela Archambeault

Dr. Mikaela Archambeault graduated from NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016 and pursued a small animal rotating internship with Carolina Veterinary Specialists in Greensboro. She has since worked in general practice in Durham, NC, before joining our Harmony family.

She works part-time at Orange County Animal Shelter as part of the county’s spay and neuter program. She was raised with collies and so grew up with a fondness for larger-breed dogs, though she has developed quite an affinity for cats in the last few years. Dr. Mikaela has an interest in internal medicine, surgery, geriatric pets, and feline medicine.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking and playing volleyball with her husband. They have 2 cattle dog mixes, 1 cat, 1 bearded dragon, and a new baby girl.
